It's been awhile

Wow! I haven't posted here since before Mother's Day! I have been so busy I have rarely had time to craft. I am in the processing of purchasing a coffee shop and am sooooooo excited. about stress! and anxiety! and tears! and laughter! Soon....real soon now....
Anyhoo....a friend asked for a wedding card. Failed to tell me she needed it like yesterday! It was nice being back tucked away in my little room making a card again. Usually when I have time to be in here, I am scrapbooking so cardmaking was a nice change. Made me put my crafty thinking cap on as opposed to thinking coffee! Thanks for looking!

Happy Mother's Day! And how did you spend your day? Mine was great. DH, son and daughter made brunch and the kids did not fight once! NOT ONCE! Couldn't of asked for a better day.  In honor of all the mom's I spent the day in my little sanctuary (craft room) and made these awesome "mums". You can buy the svg kit "3D Mums and Fall Flowers" from I had so much fun making them. I didn't add leaves to all of them but they look great! Thanks for coming by and taking a look. Have a great evening! Hopefully you are all being SPOILED!

Flowers here are: Brittany Mum; Spider Mum and Sunflower. Edges are all inked, petals curved, bent, whatever! I glued them together and put a pop dot here or there. Just have fun with them!

Flowers: Black Eyed Susan (could you guess this one? lol); Dublin Mom; Batini Mum and Lollipop Mum.

Mary from has a great tutorial on how to make these.

I finally did it! After looking at and admiring sooooo many word books, I decided to attempt making one of my own.  My nephew had a baby girl and so I made this for his new addition. I haven't put it together yet, not sure to use rings or invest in a bind-it-all. The things I could do with a bind-it-all! Any suggestions?

I used SU dp from their mini catalogue "sending love". I love how sparkly it is! and the colors, well.....they're just awesome. Some of the svg's I used were collected off of the many sites out there. The fairies are from "Flitting Fairies" kit and the flower is from the "3D flowers kit".  The butterflies are from SU, and I used my cuttlebug die cut for the little flowers. I embossed, inked, stickled and just had alot of fun making this! Thanks for dropping by and looking!

Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Card Swap

Here is the card I made for the April card swap over at, my favorite place to hang out. Go check them out! You will be glad you did. The theme? (just take a guess, c'mon guess...) You got it! Mother's Day. I used SU paper - pink pirouette and melon mambo. I embossed the card with SU embossing folder - Finial Press. I looooovvveee my cuttlebug and this folder! The front of the card is from, one of Mary's wonderful creations (3D flower card). I inked the edges and flower petals with Rose Red (SU).  The butterfly is another one of Mary's files! She is such a talented artist! Sentiment is SU's "Messages for Mom". Thanks for looking.

Monkeying around

Did you watch the Oscars the other night? Did you watch the tributes? Did you notice Farrah Fawcett was not even mentioned? I couldn't believe it! She deserved a tribute just like the rest of them. She shared her beauty and talent with us for years, even documenting her last days. Did you ever see her in the "Burning Bed"? Far cry from Charlie's Angels but she was good, real good in that movie. And the hair...she gave us all the hair! C'mon Oscar, get it together!
Okay...enough of my ranting. I'm done. No more will be said about it.

Today I'm sharing a page of my DH and DS who seem to always (and I mean always) be goofing around. These pics called for Dustin Pikes svg file All Monkeys. You will find it at . I love, love, love this set! And they are so easy to piece together.  For the corner vines I copied in SCAL and welded together to give me the corner. The lettering was done with SCAL. Gotta love that program! Thanks for looking.

And...if you own a will never have to buy another cartridge again! Well, you can if you want, but there is no need for it! I bought my cricut over a year ago and it sat collecting dust because I couldn't afford cartridges and George's Basic just didn't cut it for me! (no pun intended!) I purchased Sure Cuts Alot a while back and now I'm having to look at purchasing a new blade and mat because my circut is working OVERTIME! I love this site. Leo and Mary are soooooo helpful (as well as all the friends on the forum) and their svg's are awesome! Go ahead, check them out...I dare you!

Here are a couple of cards I made for my teens for valentines. All made with my Sure Cuts Alot software (you can immediately download it) and the Cricut. The frog card I case'd from Amy at . With Love......

A couple of pages I did at my scrapbookers club.  I love this new dp  from SU - Sending Love. Beautiful pages and lots of sparkles! I used the sizzlits die - Beary Lovely. We got to play with the new punch from the sale-a-bration "scallop trim border" as well as the corner punch to go with it. Didn't take me too long to get the hang of it. Thanks for looking!

Mojo 122

I'm still playing with my Cricut and new program Sure Cuts Alot which I absolutely loooovvvveee! I have been having so much fun. Now that Christmas has come and gone I have reverted back to my first love, scrapbooking. I am working on my first 8 x 8 album (I am a die hard 12 x 12 kinda person!) titled "ALL ABOUT ME." I know my kids will enjoy it for years to come. So....when I saw the Mojo challenge I knew exactly what I was going to make. One of my 8 x 8 pages!
The paper is all Stampin Up. I cut the frame, swirly, label and flower with my Cricut and scal program. Thanks for looking!

The nice weather is finally here! Man it's been a long haul! I don't know about you but the cold makes me kinda cranky. Not that I want to be, just I get sick of getting bundled up, warming up the car, freezing in the office (my desk is near a bunch of windows) I need to go on?
I haven't done much scrapping lately. I have been hooked on "Sure Cuts Alot". I researched, read forums and finally purchased it with the intent of getting right down to my scrapbooking. Well....I have been playing with my new software and before I know it, it's time for bed! Yikes! Have you checked it out. If not, go to and read all about it. Then...if you decide to purchase it you have to go to to get your svg files! Go ahead, check it out! You won't be disappointed! And then let me know what you think! are a couple of pages. They were done awhile back at my scrappers club. The cardstock, ink and ribbon is Tangerine from SU. Thanks for looking.

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know I did. We had family which is always nice. I had great intentions of doing alot of scrapbooking over the holidays. Tomorrow is Monday, back to work and I barely got anything done! Ugh! Need to win the lottery, quit work and CRAFT all day long!

Here are a couple of pages I did awhile back. The paper and a few of the punches are Creative Memories. Used SU scallop square and miscellaneous brads. Thanks for looking!
