SVGcuts.com Card Swap

Here is the card I made for the April card swap over at SVGcuts.com, my favorite place to hang out. Go check them out! You will be glad you did. The theme? (just take a guess, c'mon guess...) You got it! Mother's Day. I used SU paper - pink pirouette and melon mambo. I embossed the card with SU embossing folder - Finial Press. I looooovvveee my cuttlebug and this folder! The front of the card is from SVGcuts.com, one of Mary's wonderful creations (3D flower card). I inked the edges and flower petals with Rose Red (SU).  The butterfly is another one of Mary's files! She is such a talented artist! Sentiment is SU's "Messages for Mom". Thanks for looking.

Monkeying around

Did you watch the Oscars the other night? Did you watch the tributes? Did you notice Farrah Fawcett was not even mentioned? I couldn't believe it! She deserved a tribute just like the rest of them. She shared her beauty and talent with us for years, even documenting her last days. Did you ever see her in the "Burning Bed"? Far cry from Charlie's Angels but she was good, real good in that movie. And the hair...she gave us all the hair! C'mon Oscar, get it together!

Okay...enough of my ranting. I'm done. No more will be said about it.

Today I'm sharing a page of my DH and DS who seem to always (and I mean always) be goofing around. These pics called for Dustin Pikes svg file All Monkeys. You will find it at http://www.doodledragonstudios.com/SVGPage1.html . I love, love, love this set! And they are so easy to piece together.  For the corner vines I copied in SCAL and welded together to give me the corner. The lettering was done with SCAL. Gotta love that program! Let's Celebrate

Here is a card I made for the card swap at SVGcuts.com. From my understanding svgcuts is celebrating their one year birthday! Okay..it could be anniversary..but I like birthday! You had to use an SVGcuts image. I used Mary's "Birthday Elements". I added dazzling diamonds to the cake icing to add a bit of glitter! Thanks for looking.

Cuttlebug giveaway at Svgcuts.com!

Wow....your not going to believe this!Svgcuts.com is giving away a Cuttlebug! If you haven't heard of them, you have to go to their blog at http://www.svgcuts.com/ and check them out. I am the new number one fan! And...if you own a cricut...well....you will never have to buy another cartridge again! Well, you can if you want, but there is no need for it! I bought my cricut over a year ago and it sat collecting dust because I couldn't afford cartridges and George's Basic just didn't cut it for me! (no pun intended!) I purchased Sure Cuts Alot a while back and now I'm having to look at purchasing a new blade and mat because my circut is working OVERTIME! I love this site. Leo and Mary are soooooo helpful (as well as all the friends on the forum) and their svg's are awesome! Go ahead, check them out...I dare you!

A couple of pages I did at my scrapbookers club.  I love this new dp  from SU - Sending Love. Beautiful pages and lots of sparkles! I used the sizzlits die - Beary Lovely. We got to play with the new punch from the sale-a-bration "scallop trim border" as well as the corner punch to go with it. Didn't take me too long to get the hang of it. Thanks for looking!
