Merry Christmas to all!

Well, this will be my last post until after Christmas. Time to now focus on the food, drinks and family. It's a busy time for all of us. I FINALLY finished my baking (which took me forever because my DH and darling teens kept eating everything before I had a chance to freeze it!) Good to know they taste good!
We are spending Christmas with my in-laws (yes, I am looking forward to it!) and there will be a little toddler running around our house! I can't wait!
So to you all....MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MAY 2010 BRING YOU GOOD WILL AND HAPPINESS.
Thanks for looking!

Delightful Sketch #13

Okay, so I said I was done with my Christmas cards but when I saw the Delightful Sketch from http://www.delighfulsketches.blogspot.com/ I just had to use this digi stamp one last time! I'm not sure if I like this card. It has not grown on me and I am not certain that it will. I like the sketch though. For this card I used the digi stamp "Emma the hugger" from  http://www.fred-she-said.blogspot.com/ I colored with water pencils (remember, my new little toy). I used liquid applique with dazzling diamonds for the snow, flocking for the snowman and smooch moonlight ink on the coat.
I promise..I am now done my Christmas cards for 2009!

MoJo 116

Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Besides freezing I have been baking up a storm. Attempting to get it all done PRIOR to Christmas and not AFTER! It was during my cookie baking when it dawned on me that I still had to upload my Mojo card! So....here it is. I was going to do Christmas but in my previous post I said I was done and if I began again...I would probably keep going attempting to get next years cards done! Besides, with this cold weather, I needed to bring a little "sunshine" into my life.
I used the SU stamp Bloomin Beautiful. Cut the white out with the coluzzle and the purple with my Nesties.  I used the cuttlebug, watercolor pencils and a miscellaneous flower punch. I try to stay away from ribbon because I mail most of my cards and it always cost more to mail because it is bulky! Thanks for looking!

I did it! I did it! I finally finished all of my Christmas cards. This is the last of them. Isn't he darling?! I so love this stamp and the sentiment "A Merry Little Wish......."for lots of Christmas joy!" I stamped him with brown Stazon and colored with my water pencils. ( A few weeks ago SMOOCH was my new toy...now I'm back to water pencils!) I haven't had much luck coloring with water markers. Oh...I still do occassionally, but I prefer my pencils and chalks. I then used Zig 2-way glue and red and crystal white glitter for the hat and pompom. I wish I had brown flock so I could have done his body, but he looks fine with the water coloring. Thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday 115

When I saw Monday's Challenge I knew I could do it without too much trouble! I love the sketch! I used my favorite snowflake stamp from Judi Kins that I bought about three years ago at my favorite LSS along with the sentiment.  I stamped in versamark and embossed in gold. I then covered the whole snowflake circle with versamark and embossed with Irridescent Ice to give some "sparkle". The DP is from Creative Memories and card stock from SU - purely pomegranate. Thanks for looking!

Keep your head up!

Well...as you are probably aware...the Riders lost! I didn't watch the game but I heard all about it. My DH and DS are die hard fans and filled me in. Plus it has been all over the news, with the hi-lights since Sunday! I love the card Nancy posted after the game! Go take a peek http://www.nancyscreativemess.blogspot.com/ Instead of watching the game, my DD, her teenage friend and I went to see New Moon. If you haven't seen it yet you have to go. It is a great movie. Much more exciting than the first one. I had to laugh at the teenage comments after the movie. Who was their favorite? Jake or Edward? Hmmm...... I'm glad we waited for a week though to see the movie because there was no line up and the theatre was somewhat QUIET! If you read the book and haven't seen the movie you must go. You won't be disappointed.
